How to take a Screenshot on Oppo
Oppo is a fairly new brand and it’s not as popular as the leaders in the Smartphone market like Samsung and Apple, but it’s just as useful and powerful as any of those. With the release of Oppo F5, which is Oppo’s inexpensive answer to the bezel-less iPhone X and Samsung S8, it’s no surprise that a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon. Adding that to the recent Oppo F7 release, more and more people are putting Oppo smartphones in their pockets.
Oppo phones have always been forerunners in quality and power. Historically, they’ve released yearly hits like the Oppo A83, Oppo F1s, and Oppo F3. With a phone like this, I’m sure you want to take a screenshot of what’s going on your phone screen. The manufacturers have made sure that it would be easy to do that. But if in the case you’re having troubles with taking a screencap on Oppo, here’s a guide on how to take a screenshot in Oppo smartphones.
How to take a Screenshot in Oppo
There are actually only three ways that you can take a screenshot:
- Universal Android Screenshot feature
- Screenshot Feature only for Oppo
- Third party app
Let’s go about each one. And we also took screenshots and pictures of each step for you!
Universal Screenshot Feature
If you’ve used Android for a long time, you might be familiar with this feature.
- Go to the screen you want to capture.
- Press and hold the volume down key and power button simultaneously.
- Screenshot captured!
It’s that simple and it’s great that Google put that in for all Android phones. Unless the manufacturer or carrier removed the feature, of course.
Screenshot Feature only on Oppo
Some manufacturers choose to put in special features on their phones to make it a better experience for its users. Oppo went on ahead and put a special gesture for you to take screenshots of your phone screen. Tested on Oppo F5 and this definitely works!
- Go to the screen you want to take a screenshot of
- Swipe in any direction using 3 fingers
- Screenshot captured!
It’s that simple to take a screenshot if you specifically have an Oppo phone. If this method works for your phone model even if it’s not an Oppo, let us know!
Third Party Apps for Screenshots
There are several apps that you can use to take screenshots of your phone, but today we’ll be looking at DU Recorder. Once you’ve downloaded the screen recorder of your choice and made the necessary settings changes on your phone, taking a screenshot or even a video will be very easy.
For DU Recorder there’s a floating window that you can use to easily start recording or capture and stop it at any time. Very convenient!
It’s amazing that we have a lot of options now to take a screen capture and even more awesome that Oppo has put a simple gesture to take a screenshot. With these ways to take screenshots, it will be easy to share whatever you have on screen!
