How to root Andy emulator using Andy Rootkit [Android]

Update: If you have the latest Andyroid version (47.x.x), do this instead

Note: As of now, this is the UNOFFICIAL way to root Andy emulator. The developer says that root will come in the near future, and we’ll update you by then with the official method.

  1. Before starting, download Magisk tarball by clicking here
  2. Shut Down Andy Emulator
  3. Expand the size of android_boot_disk.vmdk with VMware Player to at least 16MB.
  4. Enable ADB Debugging in Andy Options through Andy Launcher
  5. Boot up Andy emulator
  6. Transfer the magisk tarball by typing the command adb push magisk.tar.gz /data/local/tmp
  7. After pushing the magisk tarball, type in adb shell “cd /data/local/tmp; tar -zxf magisk.tar.gz; cd magisk; ./install.sh” include the quotation marks
  8. Reboot Andy
  9. Andy should now be rooted!

How to root Andy emulator using Andy rootkit for PC?

First of all, you need to have the following set ups:

  1. After downloading, the above two most important files to root your emulator.
  2. Andy rootkit file shall be in zip format. So you need to unzip the file using winRAR/7zip or any other file compressing tool.
  3. Now, Launch Andy emulator then minimize it.
  4. Then Launch Andy rootkit and then a set up box will appear like belowroot any Andy emulator using Andy Rootkit
  5. Now you will have two options i.e root or un-root!
  6. Then hit on Root.
  7. That’s it.

 

How to Verify whether your emulator is rooted or not?

  1. First of all, download and install Root Checker app from play store or any other App store.
  2. And then launch the app.
  3. Now, within the app dashboard, hit ‘verify root‘ and wait until the process gets finished. see below pictureverify root on andy rootkit
  4. That’s it.
